Assumption College (formerly Assumption Convent, 1948-1978)
The congregation of the Religious of the Assumption was founded in Paris on the 30th of April 1839, by Blessed Marie Eugenie Milleret de Brou (1817-1898). The cause of her beatification was introduced in Rome in 1940 by His Holiness Pope Pius XII. In 1961, Pope John XXIII solemnly declared the heroicity of her virtues. Mother Marie Eugenie was proclaimed "BLESSED" by His Holiness Pope Paul VI on February 9, 1975 in Rome.
